About the Role

Are you a Senior Care Assistant looking to elevate your career and embark on a regional role supporting our Care Teams to deliver a great quality of life to the people living with us?

If so, we may have the perfect role for you as a new and exciting vacancy has arisen for a dynamic Quality Care Specialist to join the Regional team at MMCG.

Please note this is a regional role covering our portfolio of services in the North East England and therefore the successful candidate is required to hold a UK Driving Licence.

Due to locality, there may also be the need for overnight stays.

The main function of the role is to be deployed into a service which requires care support to achieve quality focused outcomes. Such as coaching staff on best care practice, writing and evaluating person centred care plans, supporting in management of individual care needs.

About You:

  • Senior Care Assistant/Level 3 qualified
  • Experience of working in a Care Home setting is essential.
  • A practical, 'hands on' approach – working on the floor guiding, coaching, and training staff
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory standards, statutory requirements in a care home setting and of improvement methods with the ability to guide, coach and practically empower services to implement change.
  • Experience of conducting checks care plan completion & staff observation – adopting the principle of showing the person, watching the person complete and providing feedback

Skills Required:

  • Experienced in supporting/ developing care teams
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of developing links with healthcare professionals and external organisations
  • An ability to work flexibly to the needs of the service and organisation.
