BUSINESS AREA
CIB UK Compliance is an independent function responsible for providing specialist advice and support to UK Senior Management, business lines and functions in adhering to internal controls and external rules and managing compliance risks. The function typically acts as a second line of defence covering areas including; controls, assurance, monitoring, professional ethics, training and competence, whistleblowing, Protection of the Interests of Clients, Market Integrity, Financial Security and regulatory liaison.
JOB PURPOSE
The role holder will contribute to the effective good governance of the UK Compliance Function supporting the Governance Office to ensure the effective coordination and administration of a number of tasks, including but not limited to: Management Information and Reporting, Committee Management, Policy & Procedure Management and Compliance related projects. The role will provide broad exposure to the full UK Compliance Function, including Financial Security, providing the role holder with the opportunity to develop a good understanding of all Compliance risks and processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Including but not limited to;
Management Information and Reporting,
- Support the production of regular and ad-hoc reporting and Management Information packs.
- Support the production of regular and ad-hoc Compliance Key Risk Indicators (KRI’s) and Management Information across the Function.
Committee Management,
- Support the effective management and oversight of the UK Compliance Forum and UK Financial Security Oversight Committee including support with preparing packs, taking minutes and following up with Actions.
Risk, Issue and Recommendation tracking,
- Support the effective identification, logging, tracking and reporting of Risks, Issues and Recommendations including following up with relevant stakeholders.
Policy & Procedure Management,
- Support Compliance and local UK SA London Branch policy management requirements.
Project Management,
- Support the documentation, status tracking and coordination of Projects and initiatives.
SharePoint Administration,
- Following relevant training, deliver updates to various Compliance SharePoint sites including enhancing the central all-staff facing UK Compliance site on Echo’Net and the Governance Office SharePoint site(s).
- Support the maintenance and development of all relevant Compliance SharePoint Sites.
REQUIREMENTS
- A natural interest in Compliance, Financial Crime and regulatory related topics.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent prioritisation, organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Effective at delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent record keeping and organisational skills (ability to keep clear audit trail of required correspondence and artefacts).
- Ability to build relationships.
- Ability to work independently under own initiative whilst recognising issues needing escalation.
- Experience of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of SharePoint preferred.
- Experience of PowerBi / other data aggregation and visualisation tools preferred.
