The Opportunity:

At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a Lab Management Team Lead. This post will be based at the Leonardo Capability Green Luton site working within the Operations sector of the Electronic Warfare division where you will be reporting to the Site Support Group Manager. Your will be responsible for the Management of all onsite engineering and production laboratories, test facilities and equipment, calibration and management of the laboratories support staff.

What you’ll do as a Lab Management Team Lead:

• The primary responsibility of this role is to facilitate the availability of all laboratory facilities at all time to support the R&D and production on the site
• Health and safety within the laboratories is a primary requirement, this will involve the creation and maintenance of the laboratories safety procedures and documentations in conjunction with the SHE and OH departments
• Management of the Test Equipment Managed Services (TEMS) on site project which will incorporate the support and management of the movement of equipment from the laboratories to the calibration provider, and support of the Test Equipment Coordinators within the laboratories.
• Laboratories space allocation to use the space within the laboratories to support all projects requiring space; as part of this, you will ensure all facilities required to support all projects within the laboratories are available.
• You will be required to support SHE audits, internal and external, and QA audits, internal and external
• You will be responsible for the management of the onsite test systems engineers who cover the calibration, maintenance and support of all integrated test sites, Test towers and CCTE site, ensuring the maximum availability of these facilities

What we need from you:

• Good engineering background covering mechanical/electrical would be an advantage; IOSH certificate in safety would be an advantage but training can be supplied.
• We are looking for a person that can interact with all levels of personnel on site.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
