Barrhead Travel are looking for a Product Executive to join their team in Glasgow.

The purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Product and Product Manager to proactively deliver competitive Long-haul and Short-haul products to create enquiries for sales staff to convert into sales.

Role responsibilities:

  • Deliver fresh and innovative products to fulfil all marketing campaigns
  • Liaise with the Business Development and Marketing teams as well as suppliers to keep on top of campaigns and to identify product opportunities to ensure best offers in the marketplace
  • Work closely with the Business Development team on all Supplier Marketing Campaigns to deliver the right product and for the best ROI
  • Secure exclusive deals, source best offers to promote and build unique, tailormade products to market
  • Communicate all product and exclusive offers effectively to the sales force
  • Regularly monitor competitor activity to ensure we have the best product and pricing in the market
  • Monitor Barrhead Travel activity to ensure offers we are promoting are fresh, up-to-date and relevant

Key skills required:

  • Min 2 years travel experience would be preferred
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work under pressure, managing workloads at a fast pace, prioritising where necessary.
  • Excellent communication & relationship building skills
  • Good time management skills and a meticulous eye for detail with the ability to prioritise and manage a variety of activity, whilst working to tight deadlines with accuracy
  • An eye for identifying trends and opportunities
  • Good presentation skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Have an analytical approach
  • The ability to be creative, proactive and reactive
  • An understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

Key Performance Measures:

  • Promote products in line with business and commercial priorities
  • Increase our unique product offering
  • Increase value add’s & up-sells on products we market to maximise on profitability
  • Understand commercial priorities to ensure we are promoting the right products at the right time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
