Business Support Administrator
Nottinghamshire County Council

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join the team at one of our Children’s Residential homes in Mansfield.
We are looking for someone who has experience in a wide variety of administrative functions using common Microsoft systems, is organised and flexible, and has experience of recording and reconciliation of financial records.
This is a highly regulated setting, and you may witness challenging behaviour from the young people, so as well as strong administrative skills we are also looking for a resilient, compassionate person who can respect the confidential nature of this work. There are always colleagues on site whose role it is to directly support the young people.
You would be joining a wider friendly administrative team who provide support and holiday cover over 3 other local Residential Homes, although an ability to work independently will be needed.
We will provide you will full training on our systems and there is a range of employee benefits as listed below. The post would offer relevant insight and experience for someone interested in social care, finance and the running of a busy establishment – or just provide an opportunity to use your current skills to contribute to improving outcomes for young people of Nottinghamshire currently in care.
Benefits are:
- Flexible working hours
- Generous annual leave
- Pension scheme
- Training and Personal Development opportunities
- Excellent terms and conditions
Requirements of the post are:
- Educated to GCSE level (Grade C or above / 9 -4), or equivalent in Maths and English
- Good IT, communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Organised, with a positive and flexible approach to teamwork
- Able to work to deadlines, in an accurate and methodical manner
- An understanding of customer service and the importance of confidentiality and data security
- Experience in finance processes and general administrative duties
Nottinghamshire County Council is proud that their Children’s Service has been judged by Ofsted to have Outstanding Leadership & Management, and this service is forward thinking, with continuous improvement at the heart of everything it does.
