The Global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Programme Delivery lead will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion, across Howden. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster inclusion as part of our People First culture, develop equitable practices, and align Howden’s D&I strategy with its global business objectives

The D&I Programme Delivery Lead will be responsible for managing and delivering key diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the Group D&I Manager, this role will focus on embedding D&I into business processes, coordinating programmes, tracking progress, and driving engagement across regions. The ideal candidate will have experience in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and a strong understanding of D&I best practices.

Programme Management & Delivery

  • Partner with Group D&I Manager to design D&I programs, partner with regional stakeholders to tailor initiatives to meet the cultural and regulatory needs of diverse geographies.
  • Lead the implementation of D&I programmes, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s D&I strategy and business objectives.
  • Design, deliver and manage key initiatives to drive forward our strategy
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of D&I programmes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Support inclusive practices by collaborating with HR teams to implement equitable processes and strategies.
  • Partner with learning and development teams to create training programs on unconscious bias, cultural competency, and inclusive leadership.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to share best practices and leverage partnerships.

Data & Reporting

  • Support data collection and analysis to track progress on D&I goals, working closely with People Analytics teams.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends to inform D&I strategies and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant D&I-related regulations and reporting requirements.

Awareness & Capability Building

  • Support the development and delivery of training and awareness programmes on inclusive leadership, unconscious bias, and other D&I-related topics.
  • Create toolkits and resources to support managers and employees in fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • Promote D&I events and campaigns across the business

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in programme or project management, ideally in D&I, HR, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of D&I principles, challenges, and best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver content for different audiences.
  • Experience working in a complex, global organisation is a plus.

The kind of skills we'll need…

  • 4+ years of experience in diversity and inclusion, or a related field, with a focus on global or multicultural environments.
  • Experience in project management and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of D&I principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Understanding of the difference of deliverable KPIs and impact KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
