About the Role

The Children and Young Peoples’ Travel Service (CYPTS) provides transportation for 6,000 children and young people who would otherwise be unable to attend education.

As a Travel Passenger Officer, you will be responsible for the allocation and coordination of Passenger Assistants. You will supervise and deploy an agile workforce of over 400 Passenger Assistants. Working closely with parents, schools, and transport operators, you will ensure a first-class service for children and families.

You'll need a good understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people with special educational needs and their families. Utilizing your skills in information gathering and communication, you will place children and families at the heart of your work.

The role offers hybrid working with travel across Birmingham. You will need to travel to school sites, transport operator sites, and on school routes when necessary.
