Cidari is a growing MAT committed to achieving excellence in education, with the aim of ensuring all children achieve their full potential and flourish academically, socially, spiritually and emotionally.
What difference will you make?
Trustees play a critical role in the governance and strategic oversight of the Trust, influencing its direction, performance, and impact on students' education. The role of a Trustee is vital in shaping the success and sustainability of a MAT. Their strategic oversight and governance directly impact the quality of education, the Trust's operational efficiency, and its reputation in the community. Through their collective decisions, Trustees influence the life chances of thousands of students.
What are we looking for?
We are looking to recruit Trustees with a range of skills and experience to compliment our existing Trustees, and are particularly interested in hearing from volunteers with the following skills and experience Finance, audit & accountancy Communications & marketing HR and people management Strategic leadership and Management Educational Leadership Safeguarding Legal Ideally we would like to attract volunteers with experience of the Trustee role, although training will be provided. We would like to ensure our Trust Board reflects the communities that our schools serve, and welcome expressions of interest from people of all faiths and none, and all backgrounds. The key thing we are looking for in Trustees is commitment. Cidari Trustees are expected to get to know the schools they serve and therefore we ask that Trustees, where possible, visit our schools (even if it is just one a year!) and take an active interest in the life of the Trust.
What will you be doing?
Cidari's current Board of Trustees has been through a period of transition in terms of membership and Trustees are looking to expand the range of skills and experience of the Board in order to fully support and hold to account the executive leadership team. We are looking for individuals with a good understanding of strategic leadership and the role of a Trustee, who are looking to commit to the role long term to provide stability as the Board and the Trust move forward. Ideally, we are interested in hearing from volunteers who see themselves taking on leadership roles such as Committee Chairs and Chair of the Board; succession planning is a key priority of the Board at the current time. As a Church of England majority MAT, we are keen to hear from volunteers with an active Christian faith, however, equally we want to ensure that our Trust Board is reflective of the communities that the Trust and our schools serve, and welcome expressions of interest from those of all faiths and none.
