Hear from our Team
Hear more about the Service Improvement Officer role from one of our team: “The role of a Service Improvement Officer (SIO) can take on many different shapes as you can be responsible for varying key work-streams within the Adult Social Care department. It’s a great way to quickly learn about the internal (and external) workings of the council. I particularly enjoyed that the nature of the job allows you the opportunity to work on different projects with different colleagues, giving you unique experiences and chances to learn from more experienced colleagues. As a SIO you can be responsible for gathering and collating evidence to ensure continued service improvement, to plan and deliver training, staff workshops and engagement sessions and to take the lead for discrete pieces of work or projects that support the priorities of the Department.”
