We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to join a dynamic busy ultrasound team, covering maternity leave on a fixed term post until June 2026.
The post is within the Obstetric Scan Department/Fetal Medicine Unit at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness. The department performs obstetric ultrasound scans for all stages of pregnancy and emergency gynaecology.
Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for this post.
You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Previous Obstetric Experience Is Preferable But Not Essential.
You would be expected to have an awareness of patient emotions after unexpected outcomes and have an empathetic and supportive demeanour.
Responsibilities include –
Working with IT applications such as PMS, Microsoft word, Radiology Information System, Badgernet and Excel.
Working in conjunction with and chaperoning the midwife sonographers to provide a high standard of care to pregnant women in the Highlands.
Welcoming patients and checking patient demographics, booking all scan appointments and managing scan lists.
Tidying and cleaning of ultrasound equipment.
PECOS ordering.
Liaising with all obstetric multidisciplinary team members.
