A recognition of these challenges and a desire to improve outcomes for young people, reduce unplanned departures from services and improve the health and wellbeing of young people in the 16+ Support Accommodation provision has led to the development of the MDT. The MDT will consist of mental health practitioners, wellbeing workers and substance use workers. The team will provide support and interventions to prevent young people feeling overwhelmed with the day-to-day challenges of managing their wellbeing, childhood trauma, or self-medication with substances. Young people will have better access to specialist services, will feel better able to manage their emotional wellbeing, mental health and reduce any harmful substance use.
The MDT will also support the development of the skills and emotional resilience of the workforce- supporting with vicarious trauma in the form of psychologically informed incident and reflective practice.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
