We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our administration team working Monday to Friday on a part-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills. An understanding of medical terminology is required as well as having the ability to:

  • Deal effectively and sensitively with patients and relatives.
Duties will include:
  • Liaising effectively with our NHS partners to retrieve clinical records for the medical team in a timely manner.
  • Attending morning handover with minute taking as required.
  • Possible audio typing.
  • Assisting Responsible Clinician with letters and correspondence.
  • Diary management of the Responsible Clinician.
  • Liaising with external hospitals to arrange/re-arrange appointments, send referrals and obtain test results.
  • Send weekly MDT minutes to Bed Managers and CPN's.
  • Fielding all Responsible Clinician calls and enquiries.
  • Auditing of patient files to ensure necessary information is contained.
  • Sending patient results to Doctors.
  • Maintaining admission & discharge data.
  • Organising and diarising weekly MDT's.

The Priory Hospital Nottingham is a 14 bedded unit which provides inpatient treatment for NHS patients with acute mental health issues. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our existing staff team.
