What Will You Be Doing
As a Painter & Decorator, you will support the Engineering Department to improve the conditions of the hotel through the painting and polishing of all hotel areas. Specifically, a Painter will perform the following tasks to the highest standards.

What Will You Be Doing
As a Painter & Decorator, you will support the Engineering Department to improve the conditions of the hotel through the painting and polishing of all hotel areas. Specifically, a Painter will perform the following tasks to the highest standards.
THE DUTIES
- Carry out painting and decorating tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, staff facilities, and exterior surfaces.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and priming.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Repair and maintain decorative features including woodwork, cornices, ceiling tiles, and wall coverings.
- Ensure a high standard of finish and workmanship.
- Keep all paint and decorating tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow hotel health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Communicate with the maintenance and housekeeping teams to coordinate decoration work with minimal disruption to guests.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Advise on colour schemes and finishes in line with the hotel’s style and branding when required.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with Guests.
- Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of paint types, application methods, and surface preparation.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Good eye for detail and design.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to work at height when necessary.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
