Swimming Learning Support Assistant, Two Bridges Academy
32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am-3.45pm, term time only plus 6 Inset Days, Permanent.
Salary: £27,711-£31,067 actual salary £20,936-£23,472 per annum, plus generous sick pay and pension scheme.
About Us:
Two Bridges Academy opened in September, and in our first five months we have begun to establish exceptional educational experiences for our pupils. We are now entering our next phase of growth, as pupil numbers increase in September.
We specialise in supporting young people with severe learning disabilities (SLD) or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). Pupils may also have co-existing conditions such as autistic spectrum condition (ASC) or complex medical needs.
We are looking for a Swimming Learning Support Assistant who understand the needs of pupils with these complex SEND needs and share our passion for fostering a learning environment which nurtures, challenges and celebrates every pupil.
Role overview:
As a Swimming Learning Support Assistant, you will have a vital role in making a positive impact on the lives of our students and their families. Working alongside the class teacher/Swimming Instructor, you'll assist pupils with swimming and other water related activities ensuring full participation and enjoyment for all. You'll support our pupils in the water and use flotation aids/manual handling equipment where necessary so all pupils are able to enjoy swimming.
