About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Process Engineer / Lead Process Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the industrialisation of pharmaceutical inhalation products and electro-mechanical medical devices. Working closely with our Development and Quality teams, you will ensure that robust, compliant products and processes are implemented efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to understand pharmaceutical product and device designs, ensuring a smooth transition from development to industrialisation.
- Prepare and contribute to validation documentation to maintain compliance and quality standards.
- Ensure all relevant documentation aligns with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage technical aspects of interactions with suppliers and sub-contractors as required.
- Support the Technical Project Manager with project-related activities.
- Represent the Industrialisation group on project sub-teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Utilise best practices and leading-edge methodologies to enhance products and processes.
- Provide feedback on processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Prioritise workload to align with the immediate goals of the department.
- Manage tasks to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables through regular reviews with the line manager.
- Assist senior team members with the execution of tasks where necessary.
- Ensure adherence to MDD, GMP, GAMP, and relevant local procedures at all times.
- Carry out other activities within the scope of the role as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Science, or a related field, or a time-served background.
- A minimum of three years of experience in industrialisation, manufacturing, design, or scientific process within a highly regulated industry, ideally medical.
- A broad understanding of Development and Industrialisation activities.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP, and medical device regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
- The ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
