Reports to: Test Lead
Location: Leicester – Hybrid (4 days a week)
Working hours: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

What We Need from Yü

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Proven experience testing a range of in-house developed and software package, with at least 3 years in a Test Analyst role.

  • Excellent understanding of testing web applications including UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.

  • Practical problem solver and ability to break issues down to component parts to understand problem statement and define solution options.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Very effective interpersonal skills, with a co-operative style that builds strong relationships and respect with others.

  • To monitor the effectiveness of current systems and deliver efficiency improvements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience of working from business requirements to develop test scenarios, test scripts and data throughout the Testing Life cycle.

  • Proven Full lifecycle testing experience, raising defects, record keeping and status reporting throughout the different phases to the Test Lead.

  • Experience of running End to End Tests, Regression suites in QA environment and System Testing, System Integration Testing and UAT.

  • Executing exploratory testing to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.

  • Ability to run Functional and Non-Functional tests (e.g. performance, load, security).

  • Experience of using industry standard Test management tools (e.g. JIRA, HP QC, HP ALM, TestRail).

  • Support the operation with smoke testing post change go-live to ensure success.

  • Providing daily progress of the testing activities to the Test Lead and triaging.

  • Attending daily Stand ups and meetings to report progress and/or issues to the Project team.

  • Be hands on with the business and project teams to ensure the right result.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM.

  • Coordinating and managing 3rd Party suppliers and testing with downstream applications.

  • Experience of automated tools.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills demonstrating capability of working with all levels of the organisation.

  • Working on multiple projects and ensure all activities are undertaken on time and to quality.

  • Experience of working in waterfall and agile environments.


Desirable:

  • Utility retail experience

  • Energy and Utilities cloud, and FinancialForce

  • Experience of Junifer Utility billing systems

  • Experience of Penetration Testing

  • Testing Certification and Qualifications i.e. ISTQB
