Role Overview

As a Sessional Worker, you will promote our brand and values by delivering high-quality service, ensuring children and families are central to your decisions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support planning and delivery of stimulating learning programmes.
  • Engage flexibly with various routines and age groups across services.

Service Delivery

  • Ensure all sessions are safe, fun, and inclusive, involving children in planning their learning.

Room Set Up

  • Set up and clear away rooms for activities, including cleaning and organizing resources.

School Collections

  • Follow procedures for the safe collection and transport of children to and from school.
  • Support colleagues during trips or outings.

Parent & CYP Engagement

  • Act as a positive role model, providing outstanding customer service and a welcoming environment.

Training

  • Attend regular training to meet mandatory requirements.
  • Identify training needs through discussions with your Lead CDO.

Health & Safety

Adhere to legal responsibilities under The Children Act (Scotland) 2014 and H&S at Work Act, ensuring safety for all.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Initial understanding of National Care Standards.
  • Experience with children/young people is advantageous.
  • Teamwork and willingness to assume new responsibilities.
  • Positive communication and engagement skills.
  • Creativity and a desire for continuous improvement.
  • High levels of customer service.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and challenge yourself.
