Pay & Hours:
- £12.22 per hour
- Days shifts available (7am - 7pm)
- 36 hours per week
- Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend).
The Role:
By becoming a Care Assistant, you will support our services users to maintain their independence by assisting with everyday tasks and activities, in line with their individual needs;
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns
- Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair.
- Full training is provided so if you are new to the care sector, we will help you start your journey with confidence
- Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
- Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes
- Assist with meals and drinks to support our resident’s overall nutrition.
- Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life
- Contribute and support during activities
- Maintain and develop professional relations with families
- Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner

Additional Information:
Albemarle is a specialist dementia home for 42 residents situated in the popular East Yorkshire market town of Hedon. Albemarle is a two-storey residential home with a lift for access to the first floor. We have three lounges for relaxing, entertaining and socialising. We also have three different areas of enclosed garden; one area having a greenhouse and vegetable planters that service users enjoy.
Our dedicated staff members provide high quality residential services for older people who benefit from additional care and support in a warm and friendly environment.
The HICA Group is a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
