Your role:

The Cross-Category Sell-Out Specialist is responsible for driving in-store performance and patient-level value across Tier 1 (Gold) and Tier 2 (Silver) practices.

Working in close partnership with Strategic Partnership Managers, this role ensures that commercial strategy is activated at the point of dispense—translating product, category, and brand propositions into increased conversion, premiumisation, and multi-pair sales.

With a strong focus on lens personalisation and digital dispensing (including Visioffice), this role exists to elevate the quality of every patient interaction, helping practices unlock greater value from every customer.

Please note that this is a 12 months fixed term contract.

Main responsibilities:

1. Drive Sell-Out Performance in Tier 1 & Tier 2 Practices

  • Partner with Strategic Partnership Managers to deliver measurable sell-out growth within key accounts
  • Increase conversion rates, average order value, and premium product uptake
  • Identify in-store performance gaps and implement targeted improvement plans
  • Support practices in maximising the value of every patient interaction

2. Lead Lens Personalisation Strategy

  • Champion the lens personalisation agenda across key practices
  • Drive adoption and effective use of personalised lens solutions (e.g. Varilux, advanced measurements)
  • Support teams in confidently recommending premium solutions tailored to patient needs
  • Embed best practice approaches to personalised dispensing

3. Deliver Visioffice & Digital Dispensing Excellence

  • Lead training and adoption of Visioffice and digital measurement tools
  • Ensure practices are fully utilising technology to enhance patient experience and outcomes
  • Improve consistency, accuracy, and confidence in digital dispensing
  • Act as the go-to expert for digital dispensing solutions within the region

4. Activate Commercial Programmes In-Store

  • Bring key initiatives (e.g. Power of 3, Take 2, Complete Pair) to life at the point of sale
  • Train and coach practice teams on how to position and sell these programmes effectively
  • Ensure consistent execution of campaigns, messaging, and patient journeys
  • Drive behavioural change that leads to sustained commercial uplift

5. Coach & Develop Practice Teams

  • Deliver engaging, impactful training to dispensing teams
  • Build capability in value-based selling, premium conversations, and patient engagement
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to embed new behaviours
  • Tailor training approaches based on practice needs and opportunities

6. Analyse Performance & Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Use data and insight to identify opportunities for growth within practices
  • Track the impact of training and interventions on sell-out performance
  • Adjust strategies based on performance outcomes and feedback
  • Share best practice across accounts and the wider team

7. Collaborate Across Categories

  • Work cross-functionally with frames, lenses, and instruments teams to deliver a joined-up in-store experience
  • Align with Strategic Partnership Managers on priorities, plans, and execution
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and approach across all categories

Main requirements:

  • Strong experience in optical dispensing, practice development, or retail training
  • Deep understanding of lens technologies, personalisation, and patient journeys
  • Proven ability to influence and change behaviours in a customer-facing environment
  • Confident trainer and coach with strong presentation skills
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to link training to business outcomes
  • Experience with digital dispensing tools (e.g. Visioffice) preferred
