WPS has an exciting opportunity for a skilled

Floor layer to join our Responsive Maintenance division, operating from our Skelmersdale base.

Covering Skelmersdale, Wigan, Liverpool and surrounding areas, you'll be delivering high-quality reactive maintenance services to our valued residents as part of a social housing contract. While the role is primarily site-based, occasional visits to our Skelmersdale office will be required

What You'll Be Doing

• Installing a wide range of flooring types including vinyl, carpet tiles, and safety flooring
• Preparing subfloors using screed, plywood, and latex compounds
• Completing flooring repairs and replacements in occupied and void properties
• Ensuring all works meet high-quality standards and comply with health & safety regulations
• Providing excellent customer service while liaising with tenants and clients to minimise disruption

Requirements

• Proven experience as a floor layer ideally within social housing or responsive repairs
• NVQ Level 2 in Floorcovering Occupations or equivalent (desirable)
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence
• Willingness to undertake a Basic DBS check at offer stage
