Management Accountant

Downey Osborne is working with a well established firm to recruit a Management Accountant on an initial 3–6 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established finance team, supporting month-end processes and contributing to the delivery of accurate financial information. With an immediate start available and potential for permanency, this role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make an impact.

• £40,000 -£50,000

• 30 days annual leave, pro rata
• 2pm finish every Friday

About You

• Qualified or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of month-end processes and management accounting.
• Part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines in a busy finance environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.

About Your New Role

Always

• Support the month-end process, ensuring financial information is accurate and delivered on time.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider finance team.

Often

• Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support accruals, prepayments and journal postings.
• Investigate financial variances and provide supporting analysis.

Occasionally

• Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.
• Support wider finance projects and process improvements.
• Provide additional support to the finance team as required.

Never

• Compromise on accuracy, confidentiality or financial controls.
