Vets Now Gillingham are welcoming out-of-hours (OOH) Veterinary Surgeon applications, from Vets with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care, to join their team. Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of Emergency Veterinary Care, with a nationwide network of out-of-hours clinics and 24/7 emergency hospitals. As part of Inspiring Vet Care, our teams make a difference to pets and their owners when they need us most.
Along with a competitive salary, this role also offers a £10,000 pro rata recognition bonus and an up to £5,000 relocation allowance.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our professional team within our Gillingham clinic.
In this role you will work with a team who are passionate about progressing in the world of ECC, where you will benefit from a good support network and mentorship.
Our Gillingham clinic offers a varied caseload, where working as an emergency Vet Surgeon will expose you to an excellent number of interesting cases, which you simply won’t see in general practice.
Working out-of-hours doesn’t mean working all hours
Role
In this part-time role, the rota includes working every other week. The rota will typically include the below, plus a fair share of bank holidays:
Monday-Friday 19:00-00:00, Saturday 16:00-00:00 and Sunday 14:00-22:00.
With the weekend shifts, there is a degree of flexibility within the rota (Saturday shifts can be shorter and Sunday shifts can start later). We can also consider Monday - Friday shifts on week 1 and Saturday and Sunday shifts on week 2. Furthermore, how many of the available shifts to be worked can be discussed further, depending on clinic requirements.
As a twilight/backshift Vet you will often work as the second Vet on shift, providing an opportunity to share knowledge and work together on the more complex cases.
