Regional Account Manager
Albion Fine Foods Ltd
Regional Account Manager – Aylesbury
Turn your passion for great food into a career you'll love.
Love great food? Enjoy meeting people and building relationships? Looking for a role where you can combine the two?
At Albion Fine Foods, food is what brings us together. We supply an exceptional range of fine and speciality ingredients to restaurants, hotels, cafés, bars, delis, farm shops, golf clubs and caterers – helping our customers create brilliant food experiences.
We're looking for a passionate, personable and commercially minded Regional Account Manager to look after and grow our customer base across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire,
Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves food, enjoys being out and about and gets a real buzz from helping businesses succeed. Whether you've already built a career in food sales or are looking to take your hospitality or chef experience in a new direction, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the face of Albion across your territory, building strong relationships with customers, discovering new opportunities and bringing our fantastic product range to life.
Every customer is different, so you'll need to understand their business, get to know their needs and show them how Albion can add real value.
Here's what your days will involve
- Build relationships that last. Look after and develop existing customer accounts, making sure customers feel valued, supported and excited about working with us. You'll also seek out new business opportunities and introduce Albion to customers who haven't discovered us yet.
- Bring great food to life. Get to know our fine and speciality ingredients inside out and share your enthusiasm with customers. Organise tastings, product demonstrations and showcases, helping chefs and buyers discover new products and inspiration for their menus and shelves.
- Know your market. Keep your finger on the pulse of the local food scene, spotting emerging trends, new opportunities and what competitors are offering.
- Work together to deliver great service. Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure a smooth customer experience, from onboarding and product availability through to ongoing account support. You'll also visit our HQ in Dartford regularly to stay connected with the wider team.
- Represent Albion out in the industry. Attend food shows, exhibitions, trade events and promotional activities, making connections and showcasing what makes Albion special.
- Keep on top of the detail. Maintain accurate customer records, manage follow-ups and use sales information and data to help plan and grow your territory.
Where you'll be working: Your territory will cover Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire, with Aylesbury as your base.
This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role, although some flexibility will be required to attend occasional evening or weekend customer visits and industry events.
Why you'll love working at Albion
Freedom and independence
You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary, plan your journeys and make decisions about how best to develop your territory. No two days will be the same.
A career centred around food
From discovering exciting new ingredients to running tastings and attending food shows, you'll be immersed in the products and people that make the food industry so interesting.
Relationships that make a difference
This isn't about chasing one-off sales. It's about building genuine, long-term partnerships and helping your customers and their businesses grow.
A great team behind you
You'll work independently out in the field, but you'll never be on your own. Our friendly, knowledgeable team at HQ will be there to support you every step of the way.
An opportunity to grow
You don't need to have followed a traditional sales career path to succeed here. If you have a passion for food, understand hospitality and enjoy working with people, we'll give you the opportunity to develop your commercial skills and make the role your own.
What we're looking for
First and foremost, we want someone who genuinely loves food and enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with others.
You'll ideally bring:
- A genuine passion for food, particularly fine and speciality ingredients.
- A natural ability to build rapport, develop relationships and earn people's trust.
- Confidence in communicating, presenting and influencing, both face to face and in writing.
- A self-motivated approach, with the ability to organise your own time and work independently.
- Energy, initiative and a proactive approach to spotting opportunities.
- Commercial awareness and confidence working with numbers, sales information and data.
- Good everyday IT skills, including email, spreadsheets and messaging apps.
- A full UK driving licence.
Experience in food sales, hospitality, food service or account management would be an advantage, but it's not essential.
Perhaps you're an experienced Account Manager looking for a new challenge. Maybe you're a chef who loves ingredients and wants to take your knowledge beyond the kitchen. Or perhaps you've built great customer relationships in another industry and are ready to bring those skills into food.
What matters most is your enthusiasm for food, your ability to connect with people and your drive to make things happen.
What's in it for you?
We believe in looking after our people, just as we look after our customers.
Here's what you can look forward to:
- £40,000 salary plus bonus
- 30 days' annual leave
- Discounted staff purchase scheme across more than 5,000 products.
- Enhanced family-friendly policies.
- Cycle to Work scheme.
- EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
- Internal Mental Health First Aiders.
- Opportunities for learning, development and career progression.
- Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), including external mental health support and retail discounts.
