About the Role

Eclectic Recruitment is working with an established law firm looking to recruit a Private Family Solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE to join its team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with experience in private family law who is looking to manage a varied caseload of family matters within an established practice.

The successful candidate will be confident advising clients on sensitive family matters, providing clear and practical legal advice, and managing cases effectively from initial instruction through to resolution.

The firm is keen to appoint an individual who can contribute positively to the team and deliver a high standard of client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters from instruction through to resolution.
• Advising clients on a range of family law issues, including divorce, financial settlements and children matters.
• Drafting legal documentation, correspondence, applications and other relevant case documents.
• Representing clients in negotiations and working towards appropriate resolutions where possible.
• Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and other professionals as required.
• Providing clear, sensitive and practical advice throughout the legal process.
• Managing competing deadlines and ensuring matters progress efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider family law practice.

About You

• A qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years’ PQE in private family law.
• Confident managing a varied family law caseload with an appropriate level of autonomy.
• Strong knowledge of private family law procedures and relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation and client care skills.
• A sensitive and professional approach when dealing with clients in challenging personal circumstances.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
