THE ROLE

Join a leading property services and maintenance contractor: independently owned, growing, and built on a specialist, highly skilled and loyal team.

With the full support of an experienced Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the pricing and commercial administration of projects, from minor works quotations through to tenders worth up to £2 million. It’s a role where your numbers win the work and your judgement protects the margin, in a business where your contribution is seen and valued.

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to:

Produce detailed, well-written minor works quotations based on client specifications
Price and submit tenders from drawings and bills of quantities up to £2 million
Compile competitive but profitable costs covering all labour, materials and plant
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best price and service
Manage multiple estimates and proposals at once, making sure every one reaches the client on deadline
Support existing contracts and help identify new clients and opportunities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

At least two years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator, or in a similar role
Confident communication skills and the ability to adapt to clients’ requirements
Strong IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook, with the ability to produce professional quotations
Good organisation and time management, able to handle a busy workload and tight deadlines
A consistent, thorough approach to costing, and an eye for cost savings
The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Right to work in the UK

Desirable

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
