Senior Authorised Person

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with an established electrical engineering business looking to expand its High Voltage capabilities to recruit a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for its Aberdeen office.

The strategically important Senior Authorised Person (SAP) role comes with a competitive salary of £50,000-£70,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience, alongside a flexible package and benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Authorised Person role

Reporting To The Senior Management Team, You Will

• Provide technical expertise across HV electrical systems, including systems up to 33kV.
• Oversee HV switching, isolation, earthing and permit-to-work procedures, where appropriately authorised.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety rules, procedures and relevant industry standards.
• Support HV maintenance, installation, commissioning and project delivery.
• Assist with tender submissions, project planning and the development of new HV services.
• Work alongside the existing Low Voltage (LV) team to deliver integrated electrical solutions.
• Help establish the processes, procedures and client relationships needed to grow the HV division in Aberdeen.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Relevant electrical qualifications.
• Strong practical experience working with High Voltage electrical systems.
• A sound understanding of HV safety procedures, switching operations and safe systems of work.
• Experience in HV maintenance, installation, commissioning or related electrical engineering projects.
• A strong commitment to electrical safety and compliance.
