Our service operates across two locality teams and is highly regarded both locally and within the Council. We place a strong emphasis on values based practice, staff wellbeing and distributed leadership, creating opportunities for staff at all levels to lead and contribute to service developments and strategic initiatives.
We offer a wide range of support to schools and settings across the county through our well established traded offer and county wide early intervention services. Our direct work is underpinned by consultation, collaboration and joint problem solving.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. What will you be doing?
As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in managing and providing professional support to a team which includes specialist senior educational psychologists, educational psychologists, assistant educational psychologists and trainee educational psychologists.
You will support the team to deliver a balance of early intervention and statutory work while maintaining your own links with schools and service initiatives. The role protects 0.6 FTE for senior leadership responsibilities and 0.4 FTE for direct work with children, young people, families and schools.
You will also have exciting opportunities to lead and develop strategic initiatives across the county, supported by an established leadership team. Over the coming years, Senior Educational Psychologists will play a significant role in co-designing and implementing our developing Experts at Hand model, helping to shape future service delivery across West Northamptonshire.
Senior EPs work closely with, and act as representatives of, the Principal Educational Psychologist.
