At Tilbury Douglas, you won’t just be starting your career – you’ll be helping us win the projects that make a real difference to people and communities.

As a Graduate Proposals (Bid) Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience from day one, working alongside experienced bid, preconstruction and work-winning teams. You’ll help create compelling tender submissions that showcase Tilbury Douglas’s expertise, creativity and commitment to delivering high-quality projects.

You’ll develop the skills to turn complex project information into clear, persuasive and engaging content, helping clients understand why Tilbury Douglas is the right partner for their project.

This role is based at our Coalville office in the East Midlands, where you’ll work within our Regional Building preconstruction and work-winning team. As you develop, you’ll have opportunities to support a variety of bids and projects across the region, building broad experience and a strong foundation for your career in proposals and bid management.

You’ll learn from experienced professionals, take on real responsibility and see how successful bids are developed from start to finish – building strong foundations for your future career with Tilbury Douglas.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work closely with bid managers, estimators, planners and design managers to gather key project information.
  • Develop your writing and communication skills to explain technical ideas clearly and persuasively.

  • Build strong working relationships across commercial, technical, preconstruction and marketing teams.

Why this role?

This isn’t just about writing – it’s about storytelling and impact. You’ll learn how to communicate complex construction projects in a way that inspires confidence and trust. With mentoring, structured training and support, you’ll develop the skills to progress towards a professional career in bid management, communications or marketing within construction.
