GXO is currently looking for three

Warehouse First Line Managers to join our B&Q Distribution Centre in Worksop. Reporting to the Shift Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives and supporting roles, driving operational performance while ensuring service, productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently achieved. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of our largest and most established retail operations and play a key role in delivering an exceptional service to our customer.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week on a rotating days and afternoons shift pattern (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00). Flexibility will be required to support the needs of the operation because this is logistics after all!

Pay, benefits and more:

You’ll be paid a salary of £ 34,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending upon experience. What you’ll do on a typical day

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team operating within a highly automated warehouse environment, ensuring productivity, quality, and service targets are achieved
  • Drive performance through effective coaching, communication, and engagement, creating a positive and high-performing culture
  • Monitor the safe and effective use of MHE, RF technology, and automated equipment, ensuring compliance and minimising operational disruption
  • Champion a strong health and safety culture, managing performance, wellbeing, and employee relations activities across your team
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer service

What you need to succeed at GXO

  • Previous experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
  • Experience managing performance, absence, investigations, and other employee relations processes
  • Good IT skills, including experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operation
  • Experience working with MHE and warehouse technology, with previous exposure to automated warehouse environments being advantageous
