Salary: £28,584.82 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

Are you an organised and detail-focused finance professional looking to develop your experience in management accounting?

We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team, you will play an important role in providing accurate and timely financial information. You’ll support management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, working with colleagues across the organisation to help inform effective business decisions.
What you will be doing
As Assistant Management Accountant, you will:
- Support budget managers in understanding and managing their budgets.
- Maintain allocated accruals and prepayments schedules.
- Support the year-end statutory accounts process.
- Assist with monthly management account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts to meet deadlines.
- Respond promptly to management accounts queries.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working within a finance environment.
- Possesses basic book-keeping knowledge.
- Has knowledge of Housing Association finance.
- Is confident using Excel and financial systems.
- Can produce highly accurate work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Is competent in basic report writing and written/ verbal communication.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent (grades A-C / 9-4) – essential.
- Working towards or willingness to work towards AAT qualification is desirable unless an equivalent qualification has been obtained or qualified by experience.
