Compliance & Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Compliance & Operations Supervisor to join our Bristol team.

This is a varied role combining health & safety, compliance, environmental standards, warehouse and stock management, fleet and day-to-day branch operations.

You’ll play a key role in keeping the branch safe, compliant and running efficiently - working closely with our HSEQ team to maintain high standards, identify risks and drive practical improvements.

Job responsibilities for Branch Compliance & Operations Supervisor:

• Take ownership of health & safety and compliance across the branch, ensuring legislation, company standards and ISO requirements are met.
• Lead audits, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions, working closely with the HSEQ team.
• Oversee warehouse and stock operations, ensuring safe storage, accurate inventory and effective processes.
• Manage environmental and waste compliance, including the site Environmental Permit, waste segregation and storage.
• Oversee fleet and facilities compliance, including inspections, servicing, MOTs, Operator Licence requirements and equipment checks.
• Lead and support a small team, ensuring colleagues are trained and equipped to work safely and effectively.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, compliance and operational efficiency across the branch.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong health & safety and compliance experience with practical operational knowledge.

You may have a background in HSEQ, compliance, manufacturing, waste, logistics, warehouse or branch operations, but you’ll need to be confident taking ownership of compliance within a busy operational environment.

• Strong experience in health & safety, compliance or HSEQ.
• Experience with audits, inspections, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Good knowledge of H&S and environmental legislation.
• Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience overseeing warehouse, stock or inventory processes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confidence to challenge unsafe or non-compliant practices and drive improvements.
• Experience with waste, environmental, fleet or transport compliance would be beneficial.
• Experience leading or supporting a small team.

NEBOSH, IOSH, WAMITAB or an equivalent qualification would be desirable, but strong practical HSEQ and compliance experience is equally important.
