Accounts Assistant

Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team here at Vertu Motors.

This is a full time role with a salary of £24,784.50 plus an excellent range of Company benefits.

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the seamless operation of the accounting procedures within the department. In particular assisting with purchase ledger duties such as checking and registering invoices, filing invoices and statements, raising payments, supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with purchase enquiries. Other duties will include balance street reconciliations, daily banking and cashflow, as well as ad-hoc duties that come up within the accounting functions.

We Are Looking For The Following Attributes

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using Excel and other Microsoft Packages
• Excellent organisational skills and confident in managing multiple tasks at once
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written and confidence in dealing with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to Vertu
• Good team player, confident in asking questions and working with colleagues across departments to resolve queries and problems

Previous experience within an Accounts environment would be beneficial; however, we are equally interested in individuals who are eager to learn and have a genuine interest in developing a career in Accounts
