We're looking for a Student Learning & Inclusion Assistant to join a welcoming educational setting in Redruth, supporting children and young people who require additional help throughout their learning.

There are full-time and part-time positions available, with an immediate start for suitable candidates.

Make Learning More Accessible

You'll work directly with pupils, helping to remove some of the barriers that can prevent them from engaging fully with education.

Your Day May Include

• Providing individual support during lessons.
• Working with small groups.
• Breaking activities into manageable steps.
• Reinforcing learning introduced by the teacher.
• Adapting resources and approaches to suit individual needs.
• Supporting communication and social interaction.
• Encouraging pupils to make choices and work independently.
• Building confidence and resilience.
• Helping pupils manage transitions and changes in routine.
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
• Sharing observations about pupil progress.

Could Your Skills Make the Difference?

We're interested in candidates with experience supporting children, young people or individuals with additional needs.

That experience could have been gained within a school, but it could equally come from care, support work, youth services, mentoring, coaching or community settings.

You'll need to be patient, dependable and able to adapt your approach because what works brilliantly for one pupil may not work for another.

Above all, you'll need to see the individual before the additional need.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one, will be required.
