Are you passionate about making a difference to learners' lives while leading a high-performing team? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic LSW Coordinator to play a key role within our Additional Learning Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team of Learning Support Workers, ensuring learners receive the outstanding support they need to thrive. Working at the heart of the college, you will collaborate with curriculum teams and the ALS Manager to drive excellence in support provision, champion staff development, and help create an inclusive environment where every learner can achieve their full potential
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and support a team of approximately 25 Support Workers, including appraisals, performance management and staff development.
- Coordinate and maintain support timetables, responding effectively to curriculum and learner needs.
- Monitor and improve the quality and consistency of learner support through observations, learner walks and feedback.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, tracking and audit compliance, working closely with funding and quality teams
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in line managing staff or leading a team of colleagues.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience of timetabling and managing competing priorities.
- Knowledge or experience of supporting learners with SEND and/or vulnerable young people and adults.
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) and excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
