We are developing the next generation of PCB test equipment designed to transform the way circuit boards are validated in manufacturing. By combining innovative technologies and advanced automation, we aim to deliver a step change in test capability, efficiency, and quality while creating a future significant new business opportunity.
Position Overview
Design the mechanical structures, linear motors, and active force-feedback mechanisms that allow us to test PCBs.
Lead the design, development and testing of complex robotic systems and mechatronic sub-assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components into unified robotic platforms.
Program and optimize industrial robotic systems (4-axis and 6-axis automation).
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams.
Troubleshoot, fault-find, and developmental robotic installations.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Mastery of 3D CAD (Inventor/SolidWorks) with a focus on vibration dampening and structural rigidity.
- Experience developing active force-sensing end effectors for delicate surface contact.
Desirable
Experience In One Or More Of
- PCB manufacturing or electronic assembly
- Electrical testing of PCBs
- High-speed digital electronics
- Robotics and motion control
- Machine vision
- Precision metrology
- Automated test equipment (ATE)

Location
Onsite at our facility in Macclesfield, with regular attendance at our remote engineering facilities and customer sites as required.
