Why Join Us?

Join our collaborative Digital Application Services team and help deliver modern digital solutions, application modernisation, integrations and platform transformations for a diverse client portfolio. You will contribute to complex technology initiatives, shape business outcomes and support successful delivery.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support complex digital and technology change. You will work confidently with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into clear, structured and actionable requirements for design, build, testing and implementation.

You will own analysis across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and definition through to delivery support and continuous improvement. You will analyse processes, systems, integrations, APIs, data flows and business rules, producing high-quality artefacts that support solution design and delivery. Working closely with product owners, engineers, architects, testers, delivery managers and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure solutions are feasible, clearly defined, traceable and aligned with customer, business and regulatory needs.

Where purpose meets career

  • Training and growth – Join an established Business Analysis community with strong ways of working, peer support and opportunities to develop your delivery and technical analysis skills. Exposure to complex digital change will help you broaden your experience and accelerate your development.
  • Variety and collaboration – Work across teams, projects and clients, gaining variety in your day-to-day role. Alongside the local account team, you will be part of a wider Business Analysis and Customer Experience practice that offers shared standards, collaboration and support.
  • Impact – Contribute to services that reach millions of users and deliver meaningful outcomes. The scale, complexity and service impact make this an excellent opportunity for analysts who want their work to drive positive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis across application development, platform delivery, integration and digital transformation projects.
  • Engage business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, testers and delivery teams to define and refine requirements.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, impact assessments and stakeholder discussions.
  • Elicit, analyse, document and manage business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Support Agile delivery by creating and refining user stories, acceptance criteria and backlog items.
  • Analyse current- and future-state processes, systems, data flows, integrations and APIs.
  • Produce high-quality analysis artefacts, including process models, workflow diagrams, data and source-to-target mappings, and traceability documentation.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, impacts and opportunities across workstreams and delivery teams.
  • Support solution design by providing structured analysis and confirming that technical solutions align with business requirements.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver agreed business outcomes.
  • Mentor less experienced analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • At least 10 years’ overall business analysis experience in technology-focused environments.
  • Experience delivering application development, systems integration, digital transformation, platform implementation or product delivery programmes.
  • At least 5 years’ experience operating as a senior or lead Business Analyst, with ownership of analysis activities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery methods and practices.
  • Experience managing product backlogs and developing user stories, acceptance criteria and iterative deliverables.
  • Proven ability to analyse systems, integrations, APIs, interfaces, business processes and complex data flows.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to interpret and analyse data.
  • Experience writing user stories using Behaviour-Driven Development principles.
  • Strong documentation skills, including process modelling, data mapping, workflow design, requirements management and traceability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions and shape solution outcomes, rather than simply gather requirements.
  • Experience in a regulated sector, such as financial services, insurance, government, the public sector or healthcare.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes involving multiple Agile teams.
  • Knowledge of Government Digital Service standards and modern digital delivery practices.
  • Exposure to cloud solutions, modern application architectures, data platforms or integration technologies.
  • Experience navigating complex technology landscapes with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
