About The Role
Pertemps Newcastle seeks Student Welcome Team members for weekend work in Newcastle upon Tyne during September’s student move-in period. This temporary, part-time role involves greeting new residents at their accommodation, assisting with enquiries, and ensuring arrivals proceed smoothly. You will help create a positive first impression of the city, offering directions and support where needed. Shifts run from 8am to 4pm, 10am to 6pm, or 12pm to 8pm across selected dates. The pay is £13.58 per hour, with flexible scheduling available. We require friendly, approachable individuals with clear communication skills who can remain composed during busy periods. Previous experience in customer service or events is beneficial but not essential.

DATES
We Have Shifts Available On
10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th September
SHIFT OPTIONS
You can work any of the following shifts on the available dates:
- 8:00am – 4:00pm
- 10:00am – 6:00pm
- 12:00pm – 8:00pm
There may be flexibility to work multiple dates, so please let us know your availability when applying.
THE ROLE
As Part Of The Move-In Team, You’ll Be
- Meeting and greeting students as they arrive at their accommodation
- Helping students and their families with the move-in process
- Moving and carrying luggage, boxes and heavy bags
- Providing friendly, helpful information and directions
- Answering questions and making students feel welcome
- Helping the accommodation team keep move-in running smoothly
- Being a positive and approachable first point of contact for new students

- Physically fit and comfortable lifting/carrying heavy bags

You don’t need previous experience — personality, enthusiasm and a great attitude are what matter most!
