We are looking for an experienced and passionate

Occupational Health & Wellbeing Lead to join our Health & Safety team. Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Occupational Health and Wellbeing strategy, helping to create a healthier, safer and more supportive workplace for our people.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and strategic professional to lead occupational health provision across the organisation, manage key external partnerships, and drive continuous improvement in employee wellbeing services.

What You'll Be Doing

As Occupational Health & Wellbeing Lead, you will:

  • Lead the delivery and continuous development of our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
  • Manage occupational health services, ensuring effective health surveillance, case management and referral pathways.
  • Oversee relationships with external occupational health providers and medical specialists, monitoring performance and service quality.
  • Develop and maintain occupational health and wellbeing policies and procedures.
  • Analyse workforce health data, sickness absence trends and employee insights to inform strategic priorities.
  • Lead workplace health needs assessments and implement evidence-based wellbeing initiatives.
  • Optimise Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services and employee support pathways.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, occupational health governance requirements and best practice standards.
  • Partner with managers, employee representatives and senior stakeholders to promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Contribute to industry best practice through participation in occupational health networks and working groups.

What We Are Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines specialist occupational health knowledge with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Essential

  • Experience managing occupational health services, health surveillance programmes or employee health referral processes.
  • Strong understanding of workplace health risks, occupational health governance and statutory health surveillance requirements.
  • Experience managing external providers and service contracts.
  • Experience developing and delivering wellbeing initiatives, mental health programmes or employee support services.
  • Ability to interpret data and insights to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
  • Experience advising managers and senior leaders on occupational health, attendance and wellbeing matters.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.

Desirable

  • Professional membership or accreditation in Occupational Health, Wellbeing, HR, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
