Role Description

The Fundraising & Partnerships Support Volunteer is a full-time, on-site role based in Orpington. This role supports the development and maintenance of relationships with donors, partners, and community organizations to strengthen OAKonsult’s outreach and programs. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with fundraising campaigns, preparing communication materials, coordinating outreach to potential partners, and maintaining accurate records of donations and contacts. The volunteer will help organize events, follow up with supporters and stakeholders, and provide administrative support to the fundraising and partnerships team. This role works closely with staff and other volunteers to identify new opportunities, ensure timely reporting, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment for the disability community.

Qualifications

• Fundraising and donor support skills, including basic understanding of campaign planning and donor stewardship.
• Relationship-building and communication skills to engage partners, supporters, and community organizations effectively.
• Organizational and administrative skills, such as record-keeping, scheduling, and managing contact databases.
• Event support skills, including coordinating logistics, assisting with promotion, and providing on-the-day support.
• Basic digital literacy, including use of email, word processing, spreadsheets, and online communication tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team, show empathy toward Parent Carers and families, and respect diverse backgrounds.
• Interest in disability inclusion, community outreach, and the mission of supporting families within the disability community.
• Prior experience in fundraising, partnerships, or volunteering in a charity or community organization is beneficial but not required.
