About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Support Engineer to join our User Support team.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in IT within a large, complex organisation. You will play a key role in supporting staff across NHS Dumfries & Galloway, helping to ensure our digital services remain reliable and effective in supporting patient care.
What You’ll Do
You Will
- Provide first line IT support to staff across the organisation & Troubleshoot hardware, software, and access issues
- Support device deployment, configuration, and maintenance
- Work with a range of technologies including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint devices
- Collaborate with senior engineers and specialist teams to resolve issues
- Contribute to service improvements and knowledge sharing

- Have a keen interest in IT and technology
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Are customer-focused and able to support users at all levels
- Are willing to learn and develop within a structured support environment
- Previous experience in IT support is desirable but not essential – we welcome applicants who are at the early stages of their IT career.
