This post is a training post and you are offered the post under Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, Section 2 (ii). You will be paid at Band 6, this is the Band for the training period. Once you have achieved all relevant qualifications and competencies you will move to Band 7. The expected timescales to achieve the qualifications and competencies will be agreed and communicated in writing with your Line Manager.

We are looking for a Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist at Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin - a great place to live and work, lying between the coast of the Moray Firth and the mountains of the Highlands and the Cairngorm National Park.

The Pharmacy Department at Dr Gray’s Hospital provides a supportive learning environment to further develop your clinical skills and work towards your Royal College of Pharmacy Advanced Portfolio. All of our clinical pharmacists are expected to provide clinical input to a wide range of specialties offering an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to use and improve their clinical skills in a variety of settings such as acute medicine, general surgery and orthopaedics. If you enjoy working in a team environment, providing high quality pharmaceutical care where every day is different this could be the job for you!

No weekends, no on-call.

This full time permanent post could be split between multiple post holders.

Full registration with the GPC is required.

Key Worker Housing Support

Moray Council are offering temporary accommodation for key workers moving to Moray to support recruitment in the public sector, including NHS roles. This opportunity is designed to help individuals who are unable to secure housing locally while starting their new job.

Applicants must be filling a public sector role such as NHS healthcare professionals eg Consultants, Nurses, Physiotherapists where local skills shortages exist.

You must be moving to Moray from outside the area and must be willing to accept a Short Scottish Secure Tenancy (SSST), which is a temporary housing arrangement.

Key worker points will be awarded based on employer confirmation of recruitment need, and housing will be provided for a minimum of six months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months. This accommodation option allows applicants time to secure permanent housing while addressing local recruitment challenges.
