Calderdale is an ambitious, forward looking Council with a strong track record of innovation and transformation. As we continue to modernise services, strengthen financial resilience, and deliver on our digital ambitions, we are seeking a dynamic Assistant Director – ICT and Digital Transformation to play a pivotal corporate leadership role.

Our Transformation Strategy and Digital Framework set out a bold agenda: harnessing technology, data and digital design to create simple, accessible services and improve outcomes for our communities. This role will lead that agenda, driving digital cultural and organisational change, supporting a digitally confident workforce, and ensuring our ICT, data and digital capabilities are robust, secure and future ready.

You will provide strategic leadership across ICT operations, cyber and infrastructure, data and insights, and digital transformation. Building strong relationships, leading major programmes, and ensuring resilient, value for money services. You will inspire teams, engage stakeholders and deliver innovative digital solutions that improve customer experience and performance.

We welcome applications from experienced ICT and digital leaders with a Level 6 IT qualification (or equivalent experience), proven strategic leadership in complex environments, and a track record of driving service improvement and modernisation.
