The Role
Reporting into the Head of Business Development, you will be trusted to work autonomously to identify and execute high-impact projects that deliver growth, profit and process optimisation, and cross-business innovation. Working on a project-by-project basis, you will prepare robust business cases for your ideas, plan their execution, and actively deliver these projects up to the point of handover.
This role is purpose-built for a commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver - somebody who simply finds a way to "get things done" with minimal bureaucracy or hesitation.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identify, Plan & Execute Growth Initiatives: Research and develop new business opportunities, including service expansion, strategic partnerships (e.g., auction clients), new product development, and other business innovations.
- End-to-End Project Management: Oversee key commercial projects from concept through to execution, working closely with the leadership team as part of the Projects team to drive measurable financial and operational results.
- Market & Data Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, shifting customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and build air-tight business cases.
- Business Efficiency & Optimisation: Identify areas for process or spend improvement, ensuring we can scale each area of our business as profitably and efficiently as possible.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to ensure the smooth and successful execution of all projects.
- Reporting & Handover: Establish clear KPIs for all new initiatives, monitor their success, and create structured handover processes for the wider operations team once a project is stabilized.You’ll be great in this role if you have:
Who We’re Looking For
- Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of business finance, profitability, and what drives revenue growth in a consumer-facing business.
- A self-starter mentality with a demonstrated ability to take an idea from a blank sheet of paper to a fully operational reality.
- Someone with an analytical mindset who is comfortable working with data to build business cases, forecast outcomes, and measure project success.
- Someone who is adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and pivoting quickly in a high-growth, fast-changing environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Proven track record in project management, commercial strategy, operations, or management consulting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from front-line staff to external suppliers and company founders.
Desirable
- Experience of the Antiques and Jewellery Industry

The salary banding for this role is £45,000 - £50,000 p.a.
