Job Purpose

The SQUASHTV Video Editing Assistant will be office based supporting the PSA Squash Tour and be responsible for editing match highlights from live SQUASHTV produced events and

create engaging video features for a range of PSA social media and broadcast platforms. Occasional international travel may also be required where editorial support is needed at PSA Squash Tour events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Editing daily match highlights and video packages from live SQUASHTV produced tournaments for a range of social media and broadcast platforms.
  • Communicating with on-site team members during tournaments to facilitate edit requests and contribute to on-site content and live broadcast needs.
  • Ensuring correct use of metadata and associated backend tasks during the uploading and publication process of online video content.
  • Developing a video content library and back catalogue to service the SQUASHTV audiences across platforms.
  • Archiving footage & collating footage requests from external partners.
  • Contribute and assist wider media and marketing teams with content ideation, creation, and servicing of commercial partners.

About you

The SQUASHTV Video Editing Assistant is an entry-level position designed for candidates looking to begin or develop their career in professional sport. Whether you are building your professional experience following education or training, or are embarking on a career change, we welcome your application. The following criteria would make you an ideal candidate for this role:

  • You will be experienced in video editing software - Adobe Premier Pro (preferred).
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop.
  • You will have experience with uploading content to social channels such as YouTube, Dailymotion & others.
  • Strong self-organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Be capable of working for short deadlines and fast turn-around times.
  • Must have good organisational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to provide occasional weekend cover to support worldwide squash tournaments, with compensatory time off in lieu.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion to provide editorial support at PSA Squash Tour events.
