Advert Wording

The Property Assistant (Asset Data) will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Stock Condition Survey Programme by ensuring all survey data received is complete, accurate, validated and uploaded to the Council's asset management systems.

You will be responsible for undertaking quality assurance checks on survey outputs, identifying discrepancies between survey information and existing asset records, and ensuring that data is maintained to a high standard to support effective asset management, compliance, investment planning and reporting.

Key areas of responsibility

Data Validation and Quality Assurance

  • Validate stock condition survey data received from external survey providers.
  • Complete quality assurance checks to ensure survey information is accurate, complete and consistent.
  • Upload validated data into corporate asset management systems.
  • Review and investigate data anomalies, omissions and inconsistencies.
  • Maintain high-quality asset data records to support strategic investment decisions and statutory reporting.
  • Monitor the accuracy of survey returns against agreed performance and quality standards.

Technical Asset Data Review

  • Compare survey results against existing property records and identify discrepancies.
  • Review component information including installation dates, ages, lifecycles and replacement histories.
  • Assess photographic evidence provided within surveys to identify anomalies, inconsistencies or potential data errors.
  • Escalate technical concerns or significant discrepancies to Asset Management Officers and Surveyors.
  • Support the ongoing cleansing and improvement of asset data records.

Systems and Data Management

  • Maintain and update asset management databases and related systems.
  • Produce reports and data extracts to support performance monitoring and programme delivery.
  • Ensure data is stored, managed and reported in accordance with organisational requirements.

Support ongoing improvements to data management processes and procedures.
