Neonatal Homecare Registered Nurse

The Neonatal Home Care Team at UHDB is recruiting dynamic, enthusiastic Band 5 Nurses to support a 7‑day a week neonatal home‑visiting service. The team helps safely transition babies from neonatal and transitional care units to home, supporting families with oxygen therapy, NGT feeding, short‑term home phototherapy, and ongoing monitoring.

The role is specialist and community‑focused, offering opportunities to develop advanced neonatal skills in a home environment while building strong, supportive relationships with families.

  • Support early discharge planning and coordinate structured home‑care plans.
  • Provide home‑based neonatal care, including oxygen support, NGT feeding, and phototherapy.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team and the NACP‑led Jaundice Clinic.
  • Maintain high standards of care and accurate documentation.
  • Empower parents, build confidence, and provide emotional and practical support.
  • Manage an independent caseload safely and effectively.
  • Ensure babies meeting criteria receive home‑visiting support after discharge.
