The Role

The purpose of the Senior Global Admissions Officer (SGAO) role is to provide professional support for the University’s international admissions decision making, and related processes, throughout the admissions cycle.

The SGAO works alongside senior Global Office staff in implementing and developing processes and monitoring performance throughout the cycle. They support the work of the Global Admissions team by undertaking complex decision making on international applications and advising and supporting Global Admissions Officers in their work. These duties should be undertaken with a very high-level understanding of courses, qualifications, entry requirements and international equivalencies, and University process, policy and relevant external policies.

Successful candidates will be expected to work on campus full-time during the initial induction period. Following this, hybrid working (up to two days per week working from home) may be available and can be discussed at interview.

Salary Information

New appointments will routinely be made to the entry spine point (minimum) for the advertised grade, from where the individual will (in addition to receiving annual cost-of-living-related increases) progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade, within a reasonable timeframe. This ensures fairness, consistency and transparency in our pay structures. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal policy.
