We provide the full range of facilities management and M&E services including refurbishment and repair, planned maintenance, installation, energy conservation and project design.
As the Electrical Supervisor, you'll play a key role in driving electrical engineering standards across the business, providing technical guidance and support to engineers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and carrying out quality audits of engineers, electrical works and documentation.
This is a brand-new role created as part of our continued growth and commitment to delivering exceptional standards across our facilities and small works division, giving you the opportunity to shape the role and make a real impact on how we deliver our services.
The role is primarily site/mobile based carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repair and installation, alongside testing/certification, with approximately one day per week carrying out surveys, audits and office-based tasks.
The sites we maintain predominantly include prison estates, but could also include defence sites, highways and infrastructure, and the education sector.
Please note: The hours of work will be 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, plus a structured overtime package depending on business operational requirements and out of hours on call service rota.
The role of Electrical Supervisor will include
· Act as the company's Qualified Supervisor, undertaking quality checks, post-completion audits and QS electrical certification to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Provide technical support and guidance to the electrical team, assess engineer competency, develop toolbox talks and communicate legislative updates to maintain high standards across the business.
· Carry out site surveys, prepare reports and liaise with clients to support quotations, small works and ongoing compliance requirements.
· Undertake planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance, fault finding, testing, certification and installation work across a range of commercial sites.
What we need from you
· A minimum of 10 years' experience as a qualified Electrician, with an ECS Gold Card, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), and City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition), 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) and 2396-01 Design & Verification qualifications.
· Eligible to be registered as a Qualified Supervisor under our NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme.
· Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
· A professional, customer-focused approach, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a full UK Driving Licence.
