Fabricator / Trainee Fabricator

Whitehouse Construction is a leading Civil Engineering contractor and a specialist in the manufacture and installation of Property Flood Resilience (PFR) solutions, helping to protect homes and businesses from flooding across the UK.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Fabricator / Trainee Fabricator to join our factory team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products. We're looking for the right person with the right attitude—someone who is reliable, eager to learn and keen to develop a specialist skillset.

No previous flood door or uPVC fabrication experience is required. If you have a strong work ethic, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn, we'll provide all the training and support you need to build a long-term career with Whitehouse Construction.

· Experience using hand tools and measuring/marking out accurately.

How You'll Develop in the Role

As part of our factory team, you'll receive structured, hands-on training from experienced colleagues, allowing you to develop your skills at a pace that builds confidence and competence.

· Learning one manufacturing process at a time.

· Beginning your training in the welding area before progressing through other sections of the factory.

· Developing skills in measuring, fabrication, assembly and quality control.

· Gaining an understanding of the full production process to become a skilled and versatile member of the team.

· Producing high-quality products that meet the standards expected within the Property Flood Resilience industry.

As your skills develop, you'll progress through other areas of the manufacturing process.

Desirable (Not Essential)

· Previous experience in a manufacturing or production experience.

· Basic computer skills.

· Forklift Truck licence.

· Experience carrying out quality inspections.

· An understanding of workplace organisation (5S).
