We are passionate about Doncaster - it’s a great place to live, do business and visit.
We have plenty to shout about – Doncaster is the UK’s best-connected location, we have many major developments in the pipeline, a vibrant urban centre with a thriving arts and cultural scene, sport and leisure attractions, wonderful green spaces and a fascinating heritage. We firmly believe, as do our partners, that Doncaster is the place to be with a bright future and ambitions ahead of it. But don’t just take our word for it – anyone joining the council, can look forward to expanding their knowledge and skills in a dynamic, creative and nurturing environment while truly making a difference to the communities we serve.
Come and be part of what’s happening in Doncaster. Our ambitions for our city are transformational, and we need talented people to help us deliver big things for Doncaster including our aims to provide services to communities at the earliest opportunity.
How we help children, young people and families is a priority in Doncaster and we have a clear vision and set of ambitions to help us achieve this. Early Interventions and the emerging Families First Partnership Programme are central to this and we are excited about what the future of our offer for children and young people looks like.
This is a crucial role and will lead the Early Intervention portfolio, which is a key Council priority and reflects the national policy drivers. This includes the universal aspect of the Families First Partnership Programme, ensuring connectivity to the wider programme, the Start for Life Programme/Giving Every Child the Best Start in Life, including our extensive Family Hubs network, Short Breaks and Early Education and Childcare offer.
The candidate needs to have an excellent grip of practice, experience and expertise around leading transformation, and the ability to bring partners together around a shared vision.
This new post offers flexibility and a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of Early Help in Doncaster.
In return for your contribution, we offer
